Single implant
Care for a single implant
If one or more single teeth are missing, they can be replaced with single implants. Even though the result may look like a natural tooth, give it some extra attention.
The space between your implant and your natural teeth or between your implants can be very narrow. Use dental floss or an interdental brush to clean around the tooth replacement.
You may also need a special brush, such as TePe Implant Care, TePe Compact Tuft or TePe Interspace. Ask your dental professional for guidance.
TePe Dental Floss
Dental floss is ideal to use where the space is very narrow. TePe's dental floss is flat and waxed and easily glides through tight contact surfaces.
TePe Interdental Brushes
If the space is somewhat wider, an interdental brush is more efficient. TePe Interdental Brushes are available in several colour coded sizes, all with plastic coated wire for gentle and safe cleaning. You may need more than one size for different spaces – let your dentist/hygienist help you find the correct one(s).
TePe Implant Care™
TePe Implant Care has an angled neck and a slim brush head, which makes it ideal for cleaning from the tongue side, where the implant and gum meet. Soft, end-rounded filaments ensure a gentle clean.
TePe Compact Tuft™
An angled brush with a compact, rounded tuft and short, extra soft filaments. The small and flexible tuft and the angled neck allow easy access to difficult to reach areas.
TePe Interspace™
This is an angled brush with a pointed tuft, which improves access to difficult to reach areas. The interchangeable brush-tip can be attached to either side of the handle for different angles.

- Insert gently and let the dental tape glide all around the implant, cleaning where the implant and gum meet.

- Insert the brush gently. Move the brush full length back and forth a few times.

- Efficient cleaning from the tongue side - even in narrow and difficult to reach areas.

- The Compact Tuft brush is suitable when cleaning your implants from the cheek side, but can also be used from the tongue side.

- The Interspace brush enables easy access to the area where implant and gum meet. It can be used from the cheek side, but also from the tongue side.
